Iron-based materials

Since iron-based materials are low-priced and have excellent mechanical properties, their production volume is the largest among metallic materials. Iron-based materials are roughly classified into pure iron, steel, and cast iron according to carbon content. Steel in particular is used in many industrial fields as special stainless steel as well as lead frames and other electronic materials by adding various alloy elements, such as chromium and nickel, to it.
