1943July Founded Nikkodenka Kogyo Corporation as a plating professional = 70 year history of plating!!
1954April Developed from the plating business to automotive parts manufacturing business under the name of Okayama Mekki Corporation
1970January Spun off the plating department as OM Sangyo Co., Ltd. and specialized in the plating business

1971 January Changed the company name from Okayama Mekki Corporation to OM Kogyo Corporation
1972October Started operation centering on plating for automotive parts, general industrial machinery parts, etc.
1973February Established OM Kiki Co., Ltd. manufacturing and sales of housing-related products as a group company.
1984September Newly established a hoop solder plating line: Started plating for electronic parts on a full-scale basis.
1996May Commended by the Okayama Labour Standards Association as an excellent workplace in FY1996.
1997November Received a courtesy certificate from the district director of the Kurashiki Tax Office as an excellent filing corporation.
1999October Acquired ISO9002 accreditation with specific lines.
2000April Received subsidization by the Japan Small Business Corporation with"lead-free tin alloy electroplating."
2001January Remodeled the first factory to be eco-friendly.
2002February

Acquired ISO14001 accreditation.
Received subsidization by Okayama Prefecture and Okayama City with"precision parts gold plating."
Expanded ISO9002 accreditation company-wide.
2003May

October
Received subsidization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry with plating for magnesium as a "consortium R&D project for regional revitalization."
Acquired ISO9001:2000 accreditation. Established Asteer Co., Ltd. through management integration of OM Kogyo Corporation, Kyoei Kogyo Co., Ltd., and Shinko Seisakusho Co., Ltd., and started operations.

November
Participated in "Micro Monozukuri Okayama."
"Whisker-free lead-free solder plating" was certified as "Okayama Wagasha no Waza (our company's technique)."
Received a courtesy certificate from the district director of the Kurashiki Tax Office as an excellent filing corporation.
2005July

August
Plating for magnesium was certified as "new partnership" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Plating for magnesium received the "excellence prize at the 1st Monozukuri Nippon Grand Award."
2006October Development of environment-responsive lead-free soldering process was certified as "supporting industry" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
2007November Magnesium plating won the "grand prize in Okayama industry-academia-government collaboration."
2008February Completed the Tochigi Factory as our first business site in another prefecture and an environmentally all-in-one factory.
2009April

October
Selected as one of "1,400 job-creating companies" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Received subsidization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in the Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program (Supporting Industry Program) with a "study on application of highly functional graphite materials to heat radiation materials by metallization."
2010January Celebrated 40 years of establishment.
2013April

Opened "OM Sangyo Co., Ltd. Surface Treatment Laboratory" on the 7th floor of the first factory.
Received subsidization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in a program to support prototype development by manufacturing SMEs and micro-enterprises in FY2012 (subsidization for monozukuri (manufacturing)) with "formation of highly functional thin films by cold-spraying on aluminum."
Accepted transfer of the management of Shinsei Co., Ltd., a plating company in Hakusan-shi, Ishikawa.
2014June
July
Honorary chairman Hiroshi Namba dies (age 100).
Held a memorial service for remembrance of honorary chairman Hiroshi Namba.
2015August
October
Founded Siam OKAME Co., Ltd. in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Thailand.
Received subsidization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in the Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program (Supporting Industry Program) with "development of a method for maskless wiring on glass substrates for power semiconductors by ultra-short pulse laser and plating."
2016June Completed Siam OKAME Co., Ltd. in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Thailand.
